Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of hard metal roofing systems
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Fabrication and soldering of sheet metal components
• Ensuring all work meets health and safety standards
• Working as part of a team or independently to complete projects on time

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hard metal roofing
• Proficiency in working with materials such as zinc, copper, or stainless steel
• Ability to read construction drawings and roof plans
•  Manufacturer training or certification (e.g. VM Zinc, Prefa, FTMRC etc.) preferred
• Valid CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence

• Installation of single ply roofing systems to a high standard

• Valid CSCS card
• Manufacturer training or certification (e.g. Sika, Sarnafil, Protan, etc.) preferred
• Full driving licence
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join our hardworking, passionate company. The role would suit a motivated and ambitious individual looking for an opportunity to learn and enhance their skills. Full Training is provided in a supportive atmosphere.

Broad Responsibilities:

• Producing accurate quotations and estimates, managing tender documents and bill of quantities.
• Accurately identifying areas of work from detailed plans, general arrangements and section drawings.
• Inputting information into Microsoft excel spreadsheets and word documents.
• Attending meetings with Senior Estimator and Director to identify target projects and review potential work.
• Assistance with day-to-day operations including raising material orders and general project logistics.
• Establishing and building good working relationships with clients, manufacturers and suppliers.
• Work closely with Director, Contracts Manager and operatives including passing on information for works quoted to project set up and delivery.
• General office work including answering and making calls and sending emails.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (notably Excel) and overall general computer skills
• Good Literacy, Maths and communication skills
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Basic knowledge of construction preferred

Job Type: Full Time Permanent.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Work Location: In person, office Ottershaw, Surrey.
