Newgate Street, London
Situated in the heart of the City of London, this prestigious office refurbishment transformed an existing commercial building with the addition of a striking rooftop pavilion and terrace. The newly created space offers panoramic views across Newgate Street and overlooks the historic Old Bailey Court, one of the United Kingdom’s most renowned judicial landmarks.
The project required a high-quality external envelope solution that complemented the contemporary architectural design while meeting stringent performance and fire safety requirements.
We were appointed to install Uginox Stainless Steel Standing Seam Roofing and Cladding, delivering a durable, low-maintenance finish with exceptional weather resistance and longevity. The system was installed over A1 non-combustible substrates, ensuring full compliance with modern fire safety standards and providing a completely non-combustible roofing and cladding build-up.
The completed rooftop pavilion has become a standout feature of the development, creating an attractive amenity space for building occupants and enhancing the property’s commercial value, all while offering unrivalled views of the City skyline and the iconic Old Bailey Court.
Gardeners Cottage, Stratford Upon Avon
Gardeners Cottage is a beautifully crafted new-build home in Stratford-upon-Avon, designed to blend contemporary detailing with the character and quality synonymous with the local area. Constructed by a renowned regional builder, the project showcases a carefully coordinated roofing and façade package that enhances the property’s architectural appearance.
We were appointed to install Greencoat PLX Steel Standing Seam Roofing together with a complete package of matching rainwater goods, creating a durable and visually striking building envelope. A distinctive feature of the project is the bespoke parapet verge detail, which was developed as a key architectural element, delivering clean lines and a refined finish to the roof design.
To achieve complete continuity throughout the exterior, the roofing, rainwater goods, windows and doors were all specified in the same colour. This coordinated approach creates a seamless aesthetic, enhancing the overall appearance of the property and reinforcing the high-quality design vision of the development.
The completed project demonstrates how standing seam roofing can be integrated into residential architecture to provide both exceptional performance and contemporary style.
Denton Mews, Newhaven
Denton Mews is a distinctive development of 10 contemporary residential properties located in Newhaven, East Sussex, completed in 2020. Designed to a high specification, the project required a comprehensive building envelope solution that combined performance, durability and architectural appeal across multiple roofing and cladding systems.
We were appointed to deliver the full envelope package, which incorporated Protan Single Ply Roofing, Greencoat PLX Steel Standing Seam Roofing, associated cladding systems, and rainwater goods. All works were carried out by our trained and experienced installation team, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship throughout the project.
One of the key challenges of the development was the steeply sloping nature of the site, which presented a number of logistical and construction complexities. Through close collaboration with the pragmatic site team, consultants and client, we developed practical solutions that enabled the project to progress efficiently while maintaining programme and quality objectives.
Despite the challenging terrain, the project was delivered successfully, on time and within budget. The completed development provides high-quality homes that combine contemporary design with robust, long-lasting roofing and cladding systems, creating an attractive and sustainable environment for residents.
